WatuPRO Demo Quiz

This is a demo of the WordPress quiz, survey and exam plugin WatuPRO.

This demo quiz is open for everyone, no registration required. Three random questions are pulled each time, out of a pool of 7 questions.

1. Test question one. This is a single-answer question. This means, only one answer can be selected.

You can of course add some rich HTML content to the question.

And this is done simply by using the WordPress rich text editor.

Question 1 of 3

2. A picture based question. Yes, you can upload pictures without any issues. What's this:

Red-eyed Treefrog, Agalychnis callidryas(We used Flickr embed code here but you can also upload local photos)

Question 2 of 3

3. "Essay" (open end) question: these questions let the user simply write the answer. You may use them for manual evaluation of their skills, or to obtain some feedback as survey. But, you can also assign correct/incorrect answer. WatuPRO will check for match (not case sensitive) and if the answer matches one of your answers, the corresponding points will be assigned.

For example, consider the following question:

What is the most populated country in the world? (This is an open end question, but if you type "India" in this test you will receive 3 points. In other cases you will receive no points. But you can decide to assign negative number of points to some very wrong answers like "Luxembourg" for example).

Can I customize the feedback for each answer whether correct or incorrect?
Can I customize the feedback for the end score?
Can I add images to the questions?
Can I create the type of quiz that is sort of like a personality quiz where certain ranges of scores are labeled as a resulting “personality”?

Hi , Can I set a requirement that the customer / prospect , MUST supply an email at the the end to receive the results? The email could be directed to a “auto responder” like mail chimp? This could make it a marketing tool!
    Thanks

You can have such requirement but connecting to mailchimp has to be done manually or programmed using our API

    Hi,
WatuPro does not have matching question type where we can match options in one column with answers in adjoining column. Any idea when this basic question type will be added?

    2) Will the plugin work on smart phones and tablets-iPad, Surface, iPhone, Windows phone, Android?
    3) Any restrictions on the platforms it can run on? Windows vs Mac?
    4) Any known conflicts/issues when installed with other WordPress plugins?
    Thanks.
    LT

Thanks for the fast response. If the license key is the same as the order ID, I just found it in my email. Thanks!

    Hello,

I read that the Pro version has an issue where if the user isn’t logged in, all questions appear on the same page (one question per page doesn’t work) and the comments with the score can’t be sent to an email id. Is this still an issue?

    Thanks.
    LT

    Thanks. Few more questions:
    1) If I choose to pick questions for the quiz at random, is there a check to prevent the same question from appearing twice?
    2) If a user has logged in and taken a test, are there are cache issues? Will the old test be cleared?
    3) Can the time left to complete the quiz be shown?
    Thanks for answering.

    1) Random means random. It doesn’t check anything.
    2) There are no cache issues of any kind
    3) yes

    Hello,
Is there an option to mark some answers for review and then revisit those answers finally before submitting the quiz?

  12. prasunsen

Sorry no. You can enable the paginator which shows all unanswered questions red so the user can go back to them.

  13. prasunsen

When you buy the pro, install it and from the new Settings page you can copy the quizzes and data from basic to pro

Please contact support by email, we can’t provide support in blog comments. Don’t forget to include the URL where we can see your problem.

i tried using watu but i cannot get a feedback. I designed the tests and did them myself but when i submitted the test for grading i got no response. as a matter of fact it was not submitted. I want to purchase Pro for my educational website but i dont know if it will work.

  18. prasunsen

If you send me URL I may be able to tell you why it doesn’t work. Otherwise I’d need a crystal ball.

  19. John Thomas

thanks again for your speedy response. now i am even more interested. i expect to have it up and running by the weekend.

Facebook and other social network shore is not core functionality of the plugin – there are so many free plugins that will let you share a page, I don’t see why we have to reinvent the wheel.

have you ever taken the quiz on buzzfeed or similar type page? After you are done with your quiz you share your personalized result! This makes an intimate connection with the page’s readers. “I got 87% try and beat me!” or something like this and it will link to the start of the quiz.

Look around at a mall everyone is on facebook on their phones. Not having it integrated is missing something big. To do this with your plugin you have to create a bunch of other pages (for results) and redirects.

  22. prasunsen

You should always redirect because Facebook won’t read info from Ajax. We have a “Shareable final screen” feature but in some blogs replacing the title simply won’t work. So the best way is to create pages for your results and use the redirect feature.

  23. prasunsen

Before you tell me Buzzfeeds does it – yes, but they have their own facebook apps. There is no way to embed facebook app in a WordPress plugin – there should be 1 app for every domain that uses it. And the plugin is sold for everyone to use on their own domain. So this would mean we have to ask our users to create their own Facebook apps, and obrain API keys. This is way too much hassle for them, even if we create the source code.

  24. davefromcamp

I understand, but when you ‘share’ that redirect/results page new users will go there from facebook instead of the start of the quiz. You have to play with some coding to get the facebook share to link you back to the start of the quiz. Correct?

  25. davefromcamp

creating a facebook app is easy and takes 5 min tops. You should have one if you have a blog. This way you can auto post to facebook etc.

Hassle is trying to get the personalized results page to share to another page. I gave up, I went with a competitor. But your plugin’s layout and use is MUCH easier.
